The Office of Safe Environment of the Diocese of Fort Worth manages the Safe Environment training programs in accordance with the USCCB Charter for the Protection of Children and Youth. The training sessions for preschoolers through adults offer instruction in self-protection and the protection of children, youth and vulnerable adults.
Prior to volunteering, all volunteers are required to take the Adult Safe Environment Awareness Session (Protecting God’s Children for Adults) offered through the local parish, or any parish within the Diocese of Fort Worth. The required training must be renewed every two years.
The following forms must be filled out and submitted prior to attending a live or remote session:
- Code of Conduct & Behavior Standards (pages 5 & 6 are required to be turned in)
- Volunteer Ministry Application

These forms do not need to be completed prior to attending the safe environment training.
However, depending on the volunteer work you are doing, the school may need for you to complete these.
