A number of years ago Tioga ISD, Walnut Bend, Sivells Bend, and St. Mary’s of Gainesville organized the North Texas Independent League (NTIL). The League was formed in order for students in smaller schools, without high schools, to have the opportunity of participating in the State of Texas organized University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions.
Later, Immaculate Conception of Denton and Sacred Heart of Muenster joined the league. Red River Home School, Texoma Christian, and the Storm Hornets joined the league in 2012.
Students participate in athletics, such as basketball, volleyball, and track, and in an annual academic competition.
1 Ben Johnson - 58 pts. 2 Dominik Flores - 49 pts. 3 Jamie Ordonez - 45 pts.
ICCS participates in an academic competition each year through the North Texas Independent League.
Contests include Art Memory, Calculator, Creative Writing, Dictionary Skills, Listening Skills, Maps, Graphs, and Charts, Mathematics, Number Sense, Ready Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Storytelling. NTIL uses UIL Invitational tests.
