Experience

After graduating in 2001, I began my teaching career at a small Pre- School in Highlands Ranch, CO. I taught at Espree Child Learning Center for three years working mostly with children ages 3-4. I then got a job at Mracheck Middle School in Aurora, CO teaching sixth grade science. In 2005, I married my husband Kenny Harris and we relocated for his job back to the East Coast. It was at this time that I took a job teaching at a small private school, Friends School Haverford. I spent my time teaching science in first grade and helping to develop the science curriculum for the school. In 2007, Kenny and I had our first son, Aiden and in 2009 we had our second son Peyton. I took the next several years off to be a stay at home Mom. In 2013, I decided to go back to work teaching preschool again part-time. In 2014, I got a full-time job working for Cherry Creek School District. I spent the next few years working at Creekside Elementary teaching 3rd-5th grade. In 2018, we relocated again for my husband’s work to the beautiful state of Texas. I have spent the last few years as a substitute teacher and volunteering at St. Mark Church with Faith Formation. All of these experiences have lead me to Immaculate Conception Catholic School this year in my 12th year of teaching, where I am very excited to be furthering my faith while teaching Spanish and Third Grade Religion, ELA and Social Studies.

Family

My husband Kenny and I have two boys, Aiden and Peyton who are now 14 and 12. Aiden is beginning his first year of High School this year at Argyle High School and Peyton will be in 7th grade at Argyle Middle School. Both of our boys love the Fine Arts. Aiden loves to play his trumpet and is currently involved in Marching Band and Peyton loves theater and has recently joined Junior Thespians. Our boys also love sports and are involved in Football and Lacrosse. As a family we enjoy watching movies together, swimming, fishing and when we find time camping together. We are very blessed and are grateful to God for all he has given us. We are proud members of St. Mark Church in Argyle and are involved in Faith Formation and ACTS where we continue to grow our faith as a family.
