Education
I attended Holy Cross Catholic School in Joliet, Illinois for grades 1-8, and Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, Illinois for grades 9-10. My family moved to Morris, Illinois and I graduated from Morris Community High School where I was able to take a heavy load of math classes.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and received graduate credit from Texas Woman's University in math education.
Job Experience
After working in the Engineering field for a number of years, I decided to pursue a career in education. I have taught math and science classes and been the Technology Director at ICCS since 2002.
Approach to Teaching
I use a number of methods to teach, including the use of a tablet PC and projector, marker boards and hands on projects including manipulatives.
Personal
I have been married since 1981 to Jill Borowski, who taught at ICCS from 2000-2010. We have one son, Eric, who attended ICCS beginning in 1995 and was promoted in 2005. He graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School and is currently majoring in Physics at Texas Tech. I am a parishioner of Sacred Heart. I read the Liturgy of the Hours twice daily, and enjoy walking, reading, working with computers, listening to music, watching the Texas Rangers, and snow skiing.
