VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

FOOD FOR IN-SERVICE: Our hard-working staff members will be in professional training and will be getting their rooms prepared for the arrival of the children August 8-14. If you’d like to provide a light lunch, such as sub sandwiches, breakfast snacks, or desserts on one of those days, call Evelyn at the school office and let her know what you can do to help. This would count for two volunteer hours. Thanks!
CHEERLEADER SPONSOR: With Denise Taylor’s daughter being promoted last year from eighth grade, we are in need of a cheerleader sponsor for 2006-2007. This is a great opportunity to work with our Upper School young ladies as they develop the skills in cheering on our teams. ACADEMIC EVENT COACHES: We’ll be in need of many helpers and coaches as we continue our wonderful academic competition through the North Texas Independent League (NTIL) and in the Private School Interscholastic Association (PSIA). Our school will be competing in Class AA this year against larger schools in PSIA. We also plan to host one of the AA meets. Lots of volunteer opportunities!!
BROWN ENVELOPE COORDINATOR AND HELPERS: We are in great need of someone to coordinate and help with inserting all of the information once a month into our school wide communication Brown Envelope.
CARTRIDGE RECYCLING: We can also use help with our ink cartridge recycling program.
AUCTION: As always, we'll need lots of help with our Auction this year as it is our largest fundraiser and provides vital funds for the operation of our school and to pay the $316,000 annual note on the building. More information later!
HELP WITH DEVELOPMENT!! We are in need of additional folks to help with our development program. This would involve helping with ordering memorial bricks, room donation orders, or other activities or duties. ADOPT-A-SPOT CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAM: We are in need of families to be responsible for one of the islands on our campus in the parking lot to keep weeded and with plants throughout the school year. HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION COMMITTEES: We are in need of help for the upcoming school year with our various committees that are the backbone of our parent support program here at ICCS. We need help with the Hospitality Committee, which provides refreshments at a variety of events, and the Goodwill Committee, which is the service committee of Home and School. There are also other committees available for you to help. Please call the office and leave your name and e-mail or contact Home and School President Laurie Dickson at ladandbsd@earthlink.net
ROOM PARENTS: As the school year begins, we’ll be looking for at least one head Room Parent to assist the teacher in coordinating special activities for each classroom. Please contact your classroom teacher during the Meet the Teacher night or during the first week of school if you wish to help. Thanks!
SCRIP SALES: We constantly need volunteers to help with the sale of scrip after school and on the weekends after the Masses at both parishes.
