Communion Service

Trike-a-Thon

Communion Service

Immaculate Conception parish held a special communion service for the people who cannot regularly attend Mass.

Our seventh graders helped the people come into the church, stayed with them while they toured the church and chapel area, and walked with them to receive Communion.

ICCS fifth graders sang One Bread, One Body during Communion, and sang during the reception that followed.  Seventh graders assisted by serving refreshments and visiting with the people.

2004 Trike-a-Thon

Pre-K and Kindergarten raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital during the annual Trike-a-Thon. Officers from the Denton Police Department gave presentations on bicycle safety and set up a course complete with stop signs and a working traffic light.

Students from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades came out to help the younger students ride the course and handle traffic jams.

Students raised money by collecting pledges from families and friends.

2003-2004 ICCS Builders Club helps mission in Guatemala

Immaculate Conception Catholic School students representing the ICCS Kiwanis Junior
Builders Club  presented Immaculate Conception Mission Council representative Elza Camizzi with a donation after learning about the group’s mission efforts in Patzun, Guatemala.  Mrs. Camizzi told the group about the construction of the school and church as a twin sister project of Immaculate Conception Parish in Denton.  The students selected the IC Mission Council as one of its projects as an extension of obtaining a grant from the
Meadows Foundation.  The ICCS Junior Builders Club is a service organization of the
school and is affiliated with the Denton Chapter of Kiwanis International.
