The Discovery Channel website with resources for students, parents, and teachers.
Includes a link to science fair resources.
50states.com
Includes a variety of information on each state including
state capital, climate, colleges and universities, admission to statehood, and
other interesting facts.
National
Council of Teachers of Mathematics
Math resources, lessons and activities for elementary, middle
and high school teachers.
PBS Teachersource
A resource for teachers which includes lesson plans and
activities. It may be browsed by subject.

two selected by the Texas Library Association Children's Round Table.
Texas Bluebonnet Award
A project of the Texas Library Association, this program was
established to encourage children to read and explore a variety of books.
A masterlist of twenty books for grades 3 to 6 suggested by librarians,
students, teachers, parents, and other interested persons is released each
November.
Lone Star
A recommended reading list for grades 6 to 8 developed by
public and school librarians from the Young Adult Round Table of the Texas
Library Association.
Caldecott Medal
Given annually by The Association for Library Service to
Children, the award is named for Randolph Caldecott, a 19th-century illustrator,
to honor the illustrator of the year's most distinguished American picture book
for children.
Newbery Medal
Named for John Newbery, an 18th-century British bookseller,
this award is given annually by The Association for Library Service to Children
to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for
children.
Coretta Scott King
An award which commemorates the life and work of the late Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. and the contributions of Mrs. Coretta Scott King, the
Coretta Scott King Award is presented annually to an African American author and
an African American illustrator whose works are inspirational and educational.
